The following Revelation was received by Paul Davies on 7th Oct, 1998. As with all prophetic words, these must be weighed and tested with a spirit of humility and repentance. Where Bible passages are referred to, the interpretations given are not intended to be seen as the interpretation of the passage, but as God speaking to his people’s current situation by giving an interpretation.

In the last few years I have been privileged to be in two extremely significant Church services, where the Lord revealed to me that the things He was releasing through the events of these services were far more significant in the Spirit than they were in the Natural.

The first of the Services was on Father’s Day, 1994. A close family friend, a minister in a nearby church, had just had a breakdown as a result of a determined spiritual and physical assault. On the Sunday morning, I felt a clear impression from the Lord to drop in on the way to Church, and express our love and support for him to his wife, which Sarah confirmed. This man had ministered recently in my Father’s Church in Dad’s absence, and I felt the Lord saying he had a Father’s heart, as he ministered with such wisdom and compassion. To our surprise, he had been released from hospital for Father’s Day, and the Lord used our visit to impact us all.

When we arrived at Church, the service proceeded as normal, until, towards the end of the worship, the Worship leader invited everyone under 30 to the front of the Church, and called the older Generations to gather around and pray for them. As I stood at the front, I realised that I was standing amidst the future “Generation of the Righteous”, and that the Father’s in the church were praying that God would release blessing into them. The Lord impacted me that this was bigger than I was seeing, and reminded me of Malachi 4:6:   “He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers...”. This verse is one of the signs of the end times, and is one of the major roles of the end-time Prophetic Ministry. The Lord told me He was releasing the Spirit to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children across Australia on that day.

The Spirit fell on me, and I was totally wobbly for the rest of the service, and the Word was confirmed in the way several Father-figures ministered to me at the end of the service.

After that day, I began hearing of many gatherings across Australia, where the Lord had spontaneously led Fathers to pray for their children - the upcoming Generation of the Righteous, about whom so much is spoken in Scripture. At this time, my own Father was in Toronto, and was told he was the first Australian Pastor to visit there, and was specifically prayed for to release the Blessing when he returned to Australia. In late October, 1994, several pastors and leaders (including Dad) returned to Sydney from overseas, and the Toronto Blessing, which many prefer to call the Father’s Blessing, exploded in Sydney.

I believe that this service marked the release of the “...hearts of the fathers to the children...”, and that we are still in the period leading up to the turning of the “hearts of the children to their fathers...”.

Not quite a year later, on 13th July, 1995, my first daughter Sophie Joy (meaning: Godly Wisdom and Joy) was born, and the Lord began to teach me about the heart of a Father, with the verse Even though you have ten thousand teachers in Christ, you do not have many fathers..." (1Cor. 4:15). He told me she was a sign that He was “birthing” a Father's heart in the Church by grace. Just as a true Father doesn’t worry about the responsibility of the child - he just loves the child, the Lord was giving the Church the ability to love their spiritual children. And this does not depend on anything they have done (works), it just IS. Through the Father’s Blessing, God was showing us how He sees us, and how we need to learn to respond to Him. Similarly, my second daughter’s name is significant - Abigail Grace, meaning My Father’s Delight and Grace. We are the delight of our Father if we have chosen Him - we can not earn his delight by anything we do.

The second service (Morphett Vale Baptist Church) was on 27th September, 1998, and involved the visit of a British Reconciliation Team. They were in Australia to apologise for the historical mistreatment of the country and its people by the British, particularly the English, and to minister healing to those hurt in various ways by England. Australia, as many will know, was established as a convict settlement, and there is much rejection and resentment against the English as a result, to this day. As the speaker pointed out, “everyone loves to beat the English, whether at Cricket, the Commonwealth Games (Australia blitzed the medal tally), or at Rugby...”. The Lord showed me that my own heart attitude was the same, and I understood that even for those of us who have not had direct contact with England, there is a Spiritual Bondage over Australia that causes us to resent and deny English influence (this is the rebellious spirit behind the call for Australia to become a Republic, and has been seen throughout Australia’s history eg. ANZAC attitudes towards British Officers in WW1). This Spirit has caused us to refuse to accept our spiritual inheritance from our Fathers (England), and as a result, we had not received or experienced the Father’s Blessing in the same way England had. I had been asking the Lord for several years why England experienced periods of Revival, whereas we seemed only to get an increase in Power for about 18 months.

The Lord told me clearly that the visit of this team was His response to initiate the breaking down of this Rebellious spirit in Australia, and that, like the Prodigal Son, we need to repent and receive healing from England (our Fathers) if we are to enter in to our Spiritual Inheritance. The great Calling on Australia through the Spirit to become in truth the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit and take the gospel to the nations around the world is subject to our repentance, and our willingness to turn our hearts back to our Fathers.

I believe that this is the beginnings of the second half of Malachi 4:6, “He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.”   The reality of the curse is that those who refuse to repent will be barred from their prophesied inheritance, if they do not put aside their hurt and rebellion and receive healing from their Fathers. If we overcome in this, I believe the Lord will allow us to see a great tide of our Children across the nation returning to the Lord, and a great healing of the hurts of broken families, which will be associated with national Revival and the release of Australians to take the gospel to the nations.
