Word for John Howard - Received Jan '95

Given to Mr Howard one month before the March '96 Election in which he won Government. He has just been elected for a second Term (Spring '98).

Dear Mr Howard,

I received this Word from the Lord in January, 1995, but was not released at the time to present it to you. I believe the Lord wishes to encourage you at this time, and strengthen your faith. The Word is as follows:

 

Your humility has caused God to raise you up, but it is for His glory and His purposes, which will be made known to you at the right time. If you will continue in humility before the Lord, He will use you to bring blessing to this nation, and then to other nations, as this land becomes in truth the "Great Southland of the Holy Spirit". You will show this land that: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). The Lord wishes to remind you of Isaiah 66:2: "This is the man I esteem - He who is humble, contrite in heart, and who trembles at my word." I believe the Lord has chosen you to preside over this nation in what will become an unprecedented time of healing of wounds and revival, and that you will need to seek His face for wisdom to deal with the changes that occur - King Saul's most disastrous error was when he did not inquire of the Lord (1Chr. 10:14).

 

As with all prophetic words, this must be weighed and tested with a spirit of humility and repentance. If you wish to discuss any aspect, or have any questions, please contact me.
