The following Revelation was received by Paul Davies in on 4th Jan, 2004. As with all prophetic words, these must be weighed and tested with a spirit of humility and repentance. Where Bible passages are referred to, the interpretations given are not intended to be seen as the interpretation of the passage, but as God speaking to his people's current situation by giving an interpretation.

One of the more amazing things I am learning is the variety of ways that God speaks to us. Job 33:14 says: "For God does speak, now one way, now another, though man may not perceive it...". I believe this can also be translated "God is ALWAYS speaking..". I think we would be truly amazed at how much we miss, minute by minute, because we do not yet have eyes to see.

One of the ways that God displays His glory is by taking using the enemy's plans for His own purposes. In recent years, I have been surprised by how the Lord has used Hollywood movies to speak of various things, "though man may not perceive it." This doesn't endorse everything in the movie - God also spoke through a donkey!

I believe the Lord wants to declare that 2004 is the year in which we will see “the Return of the King". This refers to the manifest Lordship of Christ beginning to become obvious in the church.

Jesus stated in Mt 24:14: "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." In the last 30 years we have seen many gospels preached - the Cross, Grace, Love, Healing... , but the message that is preached throughout the world before the end is the Gospel of the Kingdom, which integrates all the others, and has as its focus the rule and reign of the King.

When the Lord appeared to Joshua outside Jericho, Joshua asked: "Are you for us or for our enemies?" "Neither," he replied, "but as commander of the army of the LORD I have now come."

When the King comes, He doesn't come to take sides, but to take over.

In the final episode of The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King, the promised King is returning to take up His throne. Various people, including current kings (leaders of God's people) have expectations of how he should act and conduct the war, but he leaves to seek out the Army of the Dead. He demands their service in the war as payment for their past failures, promises them peace afterwards and they respond to his authority. As I watched, the Lord reminded me of Ezekiel 37: the Valley of Dry Bones. As Ezekiel prophesied to the bones, they came alive and stood up - "a vast army".

The Bible speaks in several places about being dead to self:

Luke 9:23 Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Romans 6:11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

The Lord spoke of this to Moses when He stated: (Ex 33:20) "you cannot see my face, for no-one may see me and live." This is often misunderstood. God is not saying that we cannot see his face, but that if we see his face our sinful nature will be "killed". We will become dead to self - and then God can use us!

In the movie, when the Army of the Dead entered the fray, the demonic host could do nothing to stop them - they could not kill those who were already dead. The dead decimated the enemy ranks, following behind their King. They were unstoppable, like Joel's Army (Joel 2), and they won the day, so the King could be crowned.

As I was jotting these notes down in church, a young man shared a vision he had received, of the Lion of Judah standing over the Adelaide hills, "roaring His head off". Several times in recent months the Lord has whispered to me: "Aslan is on the move!"
